Process

Manufacturing in Asia is done with excellent equipment and processes. As all forgings are made to customer requirements and specifications. We offer the flexibility to meet customer demands and maintain high quality standards.

After assessing the customer's requirement the correct, most cost efficient and quality conscious process is used. The process agreed & approved with the customer as listed in the part production approved process (PPAP) is then implemented and followed.

Inspection and testing is carried out through the whole process, including for example:

Raw material testing - surface inspection, dimensional inspection, chemistry, grain size, micro structure, blue fracture, ultra sonic

Tooling & dies - 100% dimensional checks for assuring high quality tooling is made.

Billet cutting/ heating - correct length and weight, optical parameter for temperature monitoring and online sensor with segregator.

Forging - Dimensional/ Material checks, frequency as agreed with customer. Coined pads, knurled surfaces & and other special characteristics to be checked.

Heat treatment - Temperature controlled and core hardness checking and surface hardness. Further checking on microstructure, decarb, grain flow. Parts then bridge sorted to ensure 100% correct hardness.

Crack detection - 100% magnaflux NDT testing.

Final inspection - dimensional and micro structure check on a sampling basis.
